ABOUT THE ARTIST

Her wearable art form sees the creation of contemporary handmade jewellery that is unique, created with intention and intuition to champion for unapologetic self- expression. Playing with clay also serves as her personal restorative practice of the mind.

ARTIST STATEMENT
INTENTION:
What if I told you that each piece is like a new artwork that only you would own? It is not your normal jewellery but an everyday jewellery created with an intention to make you feel something. As a brand, for you to enjoy wearing jewellery, I have resolved two things: Each work is hypoallergenic and light-weight which means you will not have skin issues and can wear them often and for long hours. By doing so, I get to see you embrace in your choice of self-expression that inevitably makes you feel confident. And, confidence is sexy! You are a MOOD.
INFLUENCE & PROCESS:
Colours convey information, evoke a mood, and influence decision making. To create original statement pieces, intuition is used as a personal tool to translate the familiar and unfamiliar from the subconscious to an open-ended art form for the viewers. This means that I am often exposed to vulnerability and uncertainty at the beginning of the process that has allowed space for unlearning perfection and to appreciate unconditioned forms of beauty. I am often amazed at the unlimited probabilities in colours and design through this medium which allows for experimentation and to seek newness in mundane. The elaborate and intimate process of creating polymer clay jewellery involves steps like illustration, conditioning clay, colour recipes, sculpting, firing, sanding, polishing, and assembly of the pieces to attain quality and maintain the timelessness of each piece.
YOUR JEWELLERY
MATERIALS AND CARE
Your jewellery is made from high quality polymer clay.
The metal components are hypoallergenic (nickel and lead free) made from either surgical stainless steel or titanium. Please note that not all earrings are made with titanium backs. Titanium is completely nickel-free and caters to super sensitive ears, however, the cost of sourcing this metal is expensive. Therefore, kindly drop an email if you are looking for titanium backs. We will explore possibilities of finding you a similar piece of work or custom make one for you.
Polymer clay is naturally flexible. Each finished piece passes a durability test. Although the finished pieces can bend, please note that not all finished pieces bend. The flexibility depends on the thickness of the piece. Hence, it is better to avoid unnecessary bending because it can eventually cause breakage. However, you can expect the pieces to withstand unexpected drops but this is not applicable for pieces with intricate work using glass, semi-precious stones, shells, etc.
If you purchase a piece with brass attachments, please remember that this particular metal tarnishes with time. You can use a q-tip and rub it with ketchup or brass polish for it to regain its shine.
Please handle your jewellery with care. It will remain safe if you continue to store it in a box/organic cloth bag. To ensure longevity of the piece, kindly avoid contact with other mediums, makeup, or wearing it during your shower or sleep.
PACKAGING
Each order is mindfully packed to personalize it for you and at the same time efforts are taken to sustainably use materials to reduce waste.
Your jewellery is packed in an upcycled box with materials that are recyclable to preserve and keep the piece intact from external force or damage.
